Director

William J. Turnbull, Director of the 100 Who Care, is the Executive Administrator for the Steamfitters’ Local 638 Trust Funds in Long Island City, New York. As a seasoned professional, and a Certified Public Accountant, with over 30 years of Multi-employer Trust Fund experience, he is responsible for the overall strategic direction of the Funds including the operational and financial approaches along with all accounting, tax and audit functions. Trust Fund assets approximate $2.5 billion dollars.

Bill leads a team of professionals responsible for providing pension, health and several other benefits for an active and retired membership that exceeds 10,000 members. Before his recruitment by the Steamfitters, Bill worked as a public accountant performing audits for Pannell Kerr Foster and KPMG. During those years as an auditor, he performed, and then supervised, the audit of the Steamfitter Trust Funds for three years. Based on his prior experience as an auditor and experience with the Trust Funds, he was hired as a Controller in 1995. He served in this capacity for over twenty-six years, until his appointment to Executive Administrator in 2021.

During his tenure as Controller, he was instrumental in the design and creation of 100 Who Care, Inc in 1999. The charity was created with the idea of raising as much money as possible for educational, religious or charitable entities in the local area. Through approximately a quarter of a century the charity has been able to donate over $1.2 million dollars.

Director

James C. White is the Assistant Administrator for the Steamfitters’ Local 638 Trust Funds in Long Island City, New York. Jim came to the Fund office in 2007 after a career in the high security printing industry.

Along with James Ippolito, Jim is responsible for the overall daily operations of the Fund Office, with a focus on the Welfare Fund and Employer Contributions.

Jim has participated in the 100 Who Care Golf Outing since 2007 helping to plan the outing and assist on the day to help the event run smoothly.

Jim is a graduate of Manhattan College and Quinnipiac University School of Law

Director

James J. Ippolito is the Assistant Administrator for the Steamfitters’ Local 638 Trust Funds. James came to the Fund Office in 2001.

Along with James White, he is responsible for the overall daily operations of the Fund Office, with a focus on the Pension Funds, the Security Benefit Fund, and the Fund Office’s proprietary benefit software program.

James has participated in the 100 Who Care Golf Outing since 2002 and has assisted with outing preparation, golfer registration, give aways and prizes.
